I signed up for 2 half marathons, within 3 months of each other, so I figured that would make me train for it! Well was I wrong... I trained for the first one, and it went fine, finished in 3:45 and I walked most of it. Now move onto the second one. It was a run through Disneyland and California Adventure, and the streets of Anaheim. Well we jogged most of that! So excited, especially after not training for the three months prior to that! Well, finished in 3:35, and that was with waiting in lines for almost 20 minutes! So I finished technically in 3:15!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did PR for it!!!!
So how it starts, I woke up at 3:20 am in order to get ready. 3:20 AM! Not a happy time to get up... And I was not happy to get up, but I was excited to see what all the hype was about. I picked up my friend and we headed to Disneyland, by 4 am... again the hype kept us awake as we drove over to Disneyland, before the sun was up!
We got to the starting line late so we were not allowed to go to our prospective corrals as they were already full, which was fine with me! That meant I got to run with my friend =) Waiting in line to start the race is where my hair got done =)
This happened in 5 minutes thank you to Jody!!!!! ( And this was around mile 9 so we know it held well!)
The excitement, and support we had running this race was incredible! I understand why people get addicted to running Disney marathons and why they shell out thousands of dollars to run them! An amazing woman and her daughter, right around mile 9 were a God send. They kept me jogging and running at a pace with me, encouraging me to keep going! The pure joy that happened when I crossed the finish line I cannot even describe!!!!
And here it is folks!!!!!me crossing the finish line in my amazing tutu! Made by A&E Custom Tutu's, you can find them on etsy =) It was incredible!!!! I think I will run it again next year, but for a charity =)

Oily Journey and Stresses
So, you may think this is a fad, but to me this is a way of life. I am making an effort to live a healthier, happier life. And included in that means oils, so along with getting better at posting, I am going to be posting recipes and such, and yes most of them will include oils. If you have any questions or want to know more about them, I would be happy to share! I did my research on which oils worked best for me, and Young Living won by a mile! Today, is going to be the benefits of Lavender essential oil. A very terrible and sad thing happened this past week, my puppy woke up with paralyzed back legs. Vets believe he has a ruptured disk and it could be digenterative. We do not have the $10,000 to do surgery so we are going a different route. He is getting laser treatment along with medication to ease his pain and help him relax. Well, I don't know if you have a spirited dog, but mine has so much love and energy and not even medication can slow him down!!! As of right now this is my lil guy. He looks so sad doesn't he?
He wasn't sleeping, and had high anxiety! He can't move his legs for goodness sake!!! So he's frustrated, medication making him loopy, and not able to move or go to the restroom on his own. More about him a lil later.
And let's move on to my hubby who is challenged in the relaxing department. His mind goes at a constant rate, he's always thinking, coming up with solutions to problems. His mind never takes a break! So I have 2 guys in my life who cannot relax!
Enter in lavender. I have been diffusing this puppy all day, and even rubbing some on my puppy's paws! And wouldn't you know it! He conks right out! It relaxes him enough so he is not so tense!!! I have to tell you, to me, it is a miracle worker!!! And becoming my favorite lil bottle! You put 6 or so drops in a diffuser full of water, and wha la! Instant relaxation! I am not trying to sell any of you on this. I encourage you to learn on your own. I am just filling you all in on my successes! If you want more information, just ask.

I need to get better at this...
Wow, over 3 years since my last post and so much has happened. I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore, but I wanted to see if I could somehow get better at this whole blogging thing. Since my last post, we got a puppy, we got a house, and a new car. Wes and I are coming up on our 4 year wedding anniversary! Can you even believe it?! I have done a heck of a lot of growing up as well. Wes and I now lead our church young adults group and they bless me more than I can even say. We have 3 weddings coming up for just couples in the group, we are in 2 and Wes is officiating 2 of the weddings as well. Life is going well, and I think since it has been so long since I last said anything, that I will have to slowly explain everything, so bear with me, and you will get all the updates!
